What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bft may require franchisees and their management personnel to attend up to five days of additional or refresher training each year. This training will be held at a designated training facility. Bft will not charge a training fee for this required training.

In addition to the ongoing/refresher training, Bft can also require remedial training of up to five days if the franchisee is not operating the studio in accordance with the franchise agreement or the Learning Management System, or if the franchisee is in material default of the agreement. This remedial training can take place at Bft's designated training facility, at the franchisee's studio, or at another location designated by Bft. However, Bft may require the franchisee and its designated trainees to pay a training fee for attending remedial training.

It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in the time and potential costs associated with both the ongoing/refresher training and the potential remedial training when evaluating the Bft franchise opportunity. While the ongoing refresher training does not have a training fee, the remedial training does, and both will require the franchisee or their employees to take time away from the business.
