What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before a franchisee executes a lease for their authorized location, they must submit the lease to Bft for written acceptance. Bft will not arbitrarily withhold acceptance; however, the lease must be subject to the applicable Lease Addendum, or incorporate similar terms acceptable to Bft. The current form of the lease addendum is attached as Exhibit 4.
Bft's acceptance of the lease is for its own purposes, and Bft makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality or suitability of the lease or its terms for the franchisee's purposes. The FDD advises franchisees to have any lease reviewed by their own legal counsel.
Furthermore, the franchisee must execute a written premises lease agreement accepted by Bft for the Authorized Location no later than six months after the execution of the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee must open the studio's doors to the general public for regular classes in the physical premises of the studio no later than fifteen months after the execution of the agreement.
