What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must open their studio to the general public for regular classes, which Bft refers to as a "Soft Opening". This opening must occur no later than fifteen months after the execution of the franchise agreement.
Prior to this soft opening, the franchisee must secure a lease agreement for the authorized location that is accepted by Bft. This lease execution must be completed within six months of signing the franchise agreement. Bft also provides general guidance for opening, including consulting on the display of marks, layout, design, equipment procurement, furniture, fixtures, and managing construction or remodeling.
Before engaging in any activities related to operating the studio, all individuals required to complete the Owner/Operator Module, the Designated Manager Training Program, and the Pre-Opening Instructor Training must do so. The specifics of these training programs are detailed in the Learning Management System. Franchisees should be aware of these deadlines and requirements to ensure they meet Bft's standards and timelines for opening their studio.
