What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain their studios and fitness equipment in clean and operational condition. To ensure consistency and quality across the Bft system, franchisees must keep their studios and fitness equipment clean, well-maintained, and operational during business hours. This ensures members receive the services and products specified by Bft. Franchisees are also required to sell only approved services and products, adhering strictly to Bft's System Standards.
Bft provides a list of approved suppliers for fitness equipment and other products, which may change over time. Franchisees must purchase from these approved suppliers to maintain uniformity within the system. Bft and its affiliates may also be designated as the sole suppliers for certain items and services.
To maintain high operating standards and protect Bft's reputation, franchisees must comply with all System Standards, whether communicated in writing or orally. Bft retains the right to inspect the studio's appearance and operations at any reasonable time, without prior notice, to ensure compliance. This includes inspecting the premises, fitness equipment, and facilities, as well as interviewing franchisees, employees, and customers. Mystery shoppers may also be used to assess the studio's adherence to Bft's standards.
