What are franchisees permitted to market, offer, sell, and provide at their Bft studio?

You must operate all aspects of your Studio in strict conformance with the methods, standards and specifications of our System. Our methods, standards, and specifications will be communicated to you in writing through our confidential Learning Management System and other proprietary guidelines and writings that we prepare for your use in connection with the Studio and System. We may periodically change our System Standards, as we deem appropriate or necessary in our sole discretion, and you will be solely responsible for costs associated with complying with any modifications to the System.
Approved Products and Approved Services
You may only market, offer, sell and provide the Approved Services, as well as any related merchandise and other products that we authorize for sale in conjunction with the Approved Services (the "Approved Products") at your Studio in a manner that meets our System Standards. We will provide you with a list of our then-current Approved Products and Approved Services, along with their standards and specifications, as part of the Learning Management System or otherwise in writing prior to the opening of your Studio. We may update or modify this list in writing at any time.
If you wish to offer any product or service in your Studio other than our Approved Products and Approved Services or use any item in connection with your Studio that does not meet our System Standards, you must first obtain our prior written approval as described more fully in this Item.
Approved Suppliers
We have the right to require you to purchase any items or services necessary to operate your Studio from a supplier that we approve or designate (each, an "Approved Supplier"), which may include us or our affiliate(s). We will provide you with a list of our Approved Suppliers in writing as part of the Learning Management System or otherwise in writing, and we may update or modify this list as we deem appropriate. When evaluating and approving Approved Suppliers, we consider a variety of factors. While the prices at which a supplier sells its goods or services is one factor, it is not the only factor we consider. Our designation of an Approved Supplier does not mean that such Approved Supplier's prices will be lower than those of other suppliers.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to market, offer, sell, and provide only the Approved Services and any related merchandise and other products that Bft authorizes for sale in conjunction with the Approved Services, referred to as the "Approved Products." These activities must be conducted in a manner that meets Bft's System Standards. Bft will provide a list of the then-current Approved Products and Approved Services, along with their standards and specifications, as part of the Learning Management System or otherwise in writing before the studio opens and may update or modify this list in writing at any time.
If a franchisee wishes to offer any product or service other than the Approved Products and Approved Services, or use any item that does not meet Bft's System Standards, they must first obtain prior written approval from Bft. This ensures that all offerings align with the brand's standards and specifications.
Bft also has the right to require franchisees to purchase any items or services necessary to operate their studio from an Approved Supplier, which may include Bft or its affiliates. A list of Approved Suppliers will be provided in writing as part of the Learning Management System and may be updated or modified as deemed appropriate by Bft. This allows Bft to maintain quality control and consistency across all franchise locations.
