What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Bft Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee cannot use advertising materials that the franchisor has disapproved. Bft retains the right to revoke approval of any advertising materials at any time and at its sole discretion. This means that even if advertising material was previously approved, Bft can later withdraw that approval.

Bft requires franchisees to get written approval in advance for any co-branding of the Bft marks or any advertising that uses the marks to endorse other organizations, brands, products, or services. This ensures that the Bft brand is protected and consistently represented. Franchisees are also obligated to participate in all advertising and sales promotion programs that Bft develops to promote the collective success of the system.

Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, the franchisee must immediately cease all advertising and promotional efforts that would indicate they are or were ever an authorized Bft Studio franchisee. They must also stop using the Bft marks and ensure they do not use any imitation of the marks that could cause confusion or dilute Bft's rights to those marks. These restrictions ensure that the Bft brand remains exclusive and protected, even after a franchise relationship ends.
