What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use a specific POS/Inventory System. Specifically, Bft mandates that franchisees install and use a membership accounting, cost control, point-of-sale, and inventory control system, referred to as the "POS/Inventory System." This system must be obtained through a supplier designated by Bft.
The designated or approved suppliers for the POS/Inventory System will be listed and updated in Bft's Learning Management System. Furthermore, franchisees are obligated to pay Bft's designated provider for the software used in connection with the studio and the POS/Inventory System throughout the term of the franchise agreement. These software specifications may be modified by Bft with reasonable written notice to the franchisee.
This requirement ensures uniformity and standardization across all Bft locations, allowing for better data tracking, cost management, and overall operational efficiency. It also enables Bft to maintain quality control and consistency in service delivery. While this provides benefits in terms of brand consistency and support, franchisees should consider the potential costs associated with the mandated system and any potential limitations in flexibility compared to choosing their own system.
