What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to upgrade and maintain the computer system and software used in their studios. Bft reserves the right to change the computer system, as well as the accounting, business operations, customer service, and other software at any time.
This means that as a Bft franchisee, you must keep your studio's computer systems and software up-to-date as required by Bft. You are also responsible for paying any fees associated with these upgrades. Furthermore, you must provide Bft with any necessary passwords to access the computer system and software at their discretion.
This requirement ensures that all Bft studios operate on a uniform and current technological platform, which helps maintain consistency and efficiency across the franchise system. It also allows Bft to implement system-wide changes and improvements quickly. However, it also means that franchisees must be prepared for ongoing technology-related expenses and upgrades throughout the term of their franchise agreement.
