What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, once a franchisee's studio opens for business, they must continuously operate the studio in accordance with the franchise agreement for the duration of the term. This means adhering to all the stipulations outlined in the agreement, ensuring the studio remains open and operational, and fulfilling all obligations as a franchisee.
Maintaining the studio's appearance and operation is crucial for upholding Bft's brand standards. Franchisees must comply with the System Standards detailed in the Learning Management System or through other communications from Bft. This includes every detail of the studio's appearance and operation to ensure uniformity across all Bft locations.
Bft also retains the right to inspect the studio at any reasonable time without prior notice, subject to applicable laws, to ensure compliance with the agreement and System Standards. This includes inspecting the premises, equipment, and operations, as well as interviewing employees, customers, and suppliers. Mystery shoppers may also be used to assess the customer experience. Franchisees must also modernize or remodel the studio when requested by Bft, though no more than once every five years.
