What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must begin offering and selling memberships for their studio upon commencement of the Pre-Sales Phase, in accordance with the Opening Support Program and the System Standards. This means that even before the studio officially opens, the franchisee needs to be actively marketing and selling memberships to generate initial interest and revenue.

This requirement ensures that new Bft studios start building a customer base as early as possible. The Pre-Sales Phase is a critical period for creating awareness and securing initial sales, which can significantly impact the studio's early success. By adhering to this requirement, franchisees align with Bft's standardized approach to launching new locations and maximizing their potential.

Furthermore, Bft requires franchisees to offer and accept member reciprocity programs, such as XPASS, with other Bft studios and Xponential Fitness brands. However, the XPASS reciprocity program is currently in the process of being discontinued and will only be available to employees of Xponential or its affiliates. This ensures that franchisees and their personnel are aware of all system policies and procedures related to member reciprocity.
