What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must ensure that they, their owners, and their employees act honestly and ethically in all dealings with stakeholders connected to the Bft brand and system. Stakeholders include Bft itself, its affiliates, employees of Bft and its affiliates, other Bft franchisees, franchisees of Bft's affiliates, members and prospective members of Bft studios or any other brand affiliated with Bft, and suppliers and vendors.
This requirement means that Bft franchisees are expected to maintain a high level of integrity and transparency in all their business interactions. This extends not only to customers and employees but also to Bft, its related entities, and other franchisees within the Bft system. By mandating ethical conduct, Bft aims to foster a trustworthy and reputable brand image, which is crucial for attracting and retaining customers, as well as maintaining positive relationships within the franchise network.
The franchisee is responsible for ensuring that all individuals associated with the studio, including owners and employees, understand and adhere to these ethical standards. This may involve implementing training programs or establishing internal policies to promote ethical behavior. Failure to uphold these standards could potentially lead to consequences such as damage to the Bft brand's reputation or legal repercussions.
This emphasis on ethical conduct is common in franchising, as the success of each franchise unit is closely tied to the overall reputation of the brand. By setting clear expectations for ethical behavior, Bft aims to create a consistent and positive experience for all stakeholders, which can contribute to the long-term growth and stability of the franchise system.
