What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bft reserves the right to change the computer system and software used in the franchise. The franchisee is responsible for upgrading and maintaining the computer system and software in their studio as required by Bft. This includes paying any fees associated with these upgrades.
This means that as a Bft franchisee, you must comply with Bft's decisions regarding the computer systems and software used in your studio. You do not have a choice in the matter. You are obligated to implement any changes Bft deems necessary and to keep the systems updated.
This requirement ensures that all Bft locations operate on a standardized platform, which can help with brand consistency and data management. However, it also means that franchisees must be prepared for potential costs associated with these upgrades. It would be prudent for a prospective franchisee to inquire about the typical frequency and cost of these upgrades to better understand the financial implications.
