Where will the designated, or approved, supplier(s) for the POS/Inventory System be updated for Bft franchisees?

Bft Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee further agrees to install at its expense and use the membership accounting, cost control, point-of-sale system and inventory control systems (the "POS/Inventory System") through the supplier Franchisor designates.

The designated, or approved, supplier(s) for these services will be updated in the Learning Management System as changes are made.

Throughout the Term, Franchisee will also be required to pay Franchisor's then-current designated provider for the software that Franchisor prescribes for use in connection with the Studio and the POS/Inventory System, which may be modified upon reasonable written notice to Franchisee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, updates regarding the designated or approved suppliers for the Point-of-Sale (POS) and Inventory System will be communicated through the Learning Management System. Franchisees are required to use the POS/Inventory System from the supplier that Bft designates.

This means that Bft franchisees must regularly check the Learning Management System for any changes to the approved suppliers list for the POS/Inventory System. It is the franchisee's responsibility to stay informed about these updates to ensure compliance with Bft's standards and requirements. Franchisees are also obligated to use the specific software prescribed by Bft for the POS/Inventory System and will be notified of any modifications to this software with reasonable written notice.

Failure to use the approved suppliers or the designated software could result in a breach of the franchise agreement. This requirement ensures uniformity and quality control across all Bft locations, as the POS/Inventory System is crucial for managing sales, inventory, and cost control. Franchisees should factor in the ongoing costs associated with the mandated software and POS/Inventory System when assessing the financial viability of the franchise.
