What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Multi-Unit Agreement's date is not explicitly provided within the rider. The rider includes the following language: "Franchisor and Developer are parties to that certain Multi-Unit Agreement dated , 20 (the 'Multi-Unit Agreement') that has been signed concurrently with the signing of this Rider." This indicates that the agreement was signed in 20--, but the specific month and day are not filled in.

This omission means a prospective Bft franchisee cannot determine the precise effective date of the Multi-Unit Agreement from the FDD itself. The date is important because the rider modifies the original agreement, and understanding when both documents became effective is essential for understanding the franchisee's obligations and rights.

To clarify this, a potential Bft franchisee should ask the franchisor directly for the complete and exact date of the Multi-Unit Agreement. They should also request a fully executed copy of the agreement to ensure all blanks are filled and all terms are clear before signing any documents or making any payments.
