What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 FDD, actively operating a Bft studio involves several key aspects related to management, compliance, and maintaining brand standards. If the franchisee or one of their operating principals does not manage the day-to-day operations on-site during normal business hours, they must appoint a Designated Manager who is responsible for the studio's daily operation. This Designated Manager must complete Bft's designated manager training program before assuming their responsibilities. This ensures that someone with proper training and understanding of Bft's standards is always in charge.
Compliance with Bft's standards is critical for maintaining uniformity and protecting the brand's reputation. Franchisees must adhere strictly to the requirements outlined in the Franchise Agreement and the System Standards, which are communicated through the Learning Management System or other written or oral communications from Bft. These standards cover every detail of the studio's appearance and operation. Bft also retains the right to inspect and assess all aspects of the studio's appearance and operations at any reasonable time without prior notice, subject to applicable laws. This includes inspecting the premises, equipment, and facilities, as well as interviewing employees, customers, and suppliers.
Furthermore, franchisees must ensure that all instructors providing approved services complete the Pre-Opening Instructor Training and related testing before they begin instructing classes. This requirement helps maintain the quality of instruction and service provided at each Bft studio. By adhering to these guidelines, franchisees contribute to the overall success and consistency of the Bft brand, ensuring a high standard of operation across all locations.
