What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, each Operating Principal must have the authority to act for the franchisee in all matters related to the studio, including voting responsibilities. This requirement ensures that someone with decision-making power is always accountable for the studio's operations.
This requirement is significant because it ensures that Bft can effectively communicate and enforce standards through a responsible party. If a franchisee is not directly managing the studio, the Operating Principal serves as the point of contact and decision-maker for all studio-related issues. This structure helps maintain consistency and adherence to the Bft system across all franchise locations.
Furthermore, any changes to the Operating Principal are subject to specific conditions outlined in Article 14 of the franchise agreement and the training requirements detailed within the agreement. This stipulation ensures that any new Operating Principal is properly vetted and trained to uphold Bft's standards and operational procedures.
