What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bft's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking to renew their franchise for an additional ten-year term must pay a Successor Franchise Fee. The amount of this fee is $10,000. This fee is paid in consideration for the grant of the Successor Franchise Agreement.
To be eligible for a Successor Franchise, the franchisee must meet several conditions. These include executing Bft's current franchise agreement form, ensuring they have the right to remain in possession of the authorized location, and executing a general release of claims against Bft. Additionally, the franchisee must renovate and modernize their studio to meet current system standards and substantially comply with all existing agreements with Bft.
Furthermore, the franchisee must provide written notice to Bft of their intent to acquire the Successor Franchise within a specific timeframe: no less than 90 days and no more than 180 days before the expiration of their current term. Meeting all these requirements ensures the franchisee's eligibility to continue operating under the Bft brand for another term.
