What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering all wages and employment-related expenses for their employees during the opening assistance period. This includes reimbursable travel expenses for the employees. The opening assistance period typically lasts for approximately one week, overlapping with the restaurant's opening.
Specifically, Beyond Juicery Eatery provides opening assistance to the franchisee, their Franchisee Designate, and their managers for about one week. This assistance includes two to three days of in-restaurant management staff training before the restaurant opens and four to five days after opening. However, the franchisee bears the full financial responsibility for their employees' wages, employment-related expenses, and reimbursable travel costs during this period.
Furthermore, if Beyond Juicery Eatery determines that the management staff requires additional training, the franchisee is also responsible for covering the costs associated with this extended training. These costs encompass the wages, travel, and living expenses for both the franchisor's and the franchisee's staff. This financial responsibility underscores the importance of budgeting for employee compensation and training expenses when opening a Beyond Juicery Eatery franchise.
