Who is responsible for the fee related to participation in a Beyond Juicery Eatery training program?

t will provide such opening assistance (the actual number of employees shall be determined in our sole discretion, depending upon the number of other Restaurants already being operated by you and your affiliates and such other criteria that we deem reasonable). The number of our employees selected to provide opening assistance is determined in our sole and absolute discretion.
If you request additional assistance or request we provide more employees then we deem necessary to provide opening assistance, you will be responsible for our trainer's per diem fee and related travel costs. You must also pay wages, employment related expenses, travel, and living expenses for your employees. If we, in our sole discretion, complete the opening assistance and training and determine that your staff needs additional training, you are responsible for the additional training costs, including wages, travel, and living expenses of our staff. If you or any member of your team fails to complete the training program to our satisfaction, in our sole and unfettered judgment, we may terminate this Agreement.
We will conduct, consistent with this Agreement, the initial training of your management staff prior to the opening of your Restaurant. Staff employees must be trained at your sole cost and expense.
We may in our discretion require you, your Control Person, your Franchisee Designate, and/or your Managers to attend additional training programs and seminars during the Term of this Agreement. We may charge you for such additional training. We may require you or your Control Person, your Franchisee Designate, and/or Managers to attend such additional training programs and seminars. You will be responsible for paying travel and living expenses for you, your Control Person, your Franchisee Designate, and/or Managers to attend such additional training programs and seminars including employee wages, in addition to training expenses and our trainer expenses. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee bears the costs associated with training programs. Specifically, the franchisee is responsible for the expenses of their staff, including wages, employment-related costs, travel, and living expenses. If Beyond Juicery Eatery deems that additional training is necessary for the franchisee's staff after the initial opening assistance and training, the franchisee will cover these additional training costs, including the wages, travel, and living expenses of Beyond Juicery Eatery's staff. If the franchisee or their team fails to complete the training program satisfactorily, Beyond Juicery Eatery reserves the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement.
Beyond Juicery Eatery will conduct the initial training of the franchisee's management staff before the restaurant opens. However, the franchisee is solely responsible for the cost and expenses of training their staff employees. Beyond Juicery Eatery may also require the franchisee, their Control Person, Franchisee Designate, and/or Managers to attend additional training programs and seminars during the term of the agreement, for which Beyond Juicery Eatery may charge the franchisee.
The franchisee is responsible for paying travel and living expenses for themselves, their Control Person, Franchisee Designate, and/or Managers to attend these additional training programs and seminars, including employee wages, in addition to the training expenses and Beyond Juicery Eatery's trainer expenses. Beyond Juicery Eatery's current costs range from $250 to $1,000 per day per trainer, plus expenses. If the franchisee requests additional assistance, they will pay Beyond Juicery Eatery a fee ranging from $250 to $1,000 per day, per assistant, plus expenses. The franchisee is also responsible for conducting continuing training programs for their employees as necessary.
