What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beyond Juicery Eatery Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering all costs and expenses associated with training a replacement Franchisee Designate. This includes the costs of the training itself at the then-current rates, as well as all expenses related to the replacement Franchisee Designate. These expenses encompass wages, meals, lodging, and travel required for the replacement to attend the training program.
This means that if a franchisee's initial Franchisee Designate leaves the business, the franchisee will incur additional costs to train their replacement. These costs are not covered by Beyond Juicery Eatery and must be factored into the franchisee's operating budget. The franchisee is responsible for appointing a replacement within ten days of the previous designate's departure.
Franchisees should be aware of these potential training expenses and factor them into their financial planning. It is also important to note that Beyond Juicery Eatery maintains control over the training programs and can adjust the rates for additional training, potentially impacting the overall cost to the franchisee. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need to ensure consistent brand standards and operational procedures across all locations, and franchisees typically bear the cost of maintaining those standards within their own staff.
