What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to pay for additional training in certain circumstances. Specifically, if Beyond Juicery Eatery determines that a franchisee's management staff needs additional training during the initial one-week opening assistance period, the franchisee is responsible for these additional training costs. These costs include the wages, travel, and living expenses for both the franchisee's staff and Beyond Juicery Eatery's staff involved in the training.
Beyond the initial training period, management personnel hired after the restaurant opens are required to complete the management training program, and the franchisee bears the sole cost and expense for this training, as detailed in the Operations Manuals. Furthermore, Beyond Juicery Eatery may require one or more of the franchisee's managers, or the Franchisee Designate, to engage in additional training beyond the initial 80 hours of on-the-job training. The franchisee is required to pay for this additional training, which may also delay the restaurant's opening.
These stipulations highlight the importance of thoroughly training staff and maintaining a certified management team. Franchisees should budget for potential additional training expenses and ensure their staff meets Beyond Juicery Eatery's standards to avoid incurring these costs. Additionally, franchisees should factor in potential delays in the restaurant opening due to additional training requirements.
