What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beyond Juicery Eatery's stance on franchisee compliance with EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) guidelines isn't explicitly detailed. However, the FDD does state in Section 21.01 that franchisees operate as independent contractors, with Beyond Juicery Eatery having no direct or indirect control over their day-to-day operations or employment-related decisions. This arrangement means franchisees are responsible for their own employment practices.
Given this independent contractor relationship, it is implied that Beyond Juicery Eatery franchisees are expected to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, which would include EEOC guidelines. However, the FDD does not explicitly mandate adherence to EEOC guidelines.
Prospective franchisees should clarify with Beyond Juicery Eatery the specific expectations and requirements regarding employment practices and legal compliance to ensure they fully understand their obligations as employers. Understanding these obligations is crucial for avoiding potential legal issues and maintaining ethical business operations.
