ITEM 1. THE FRANCHISOR AND ANY PARENTS, PREDECESSORS, AND AFFILIATES
To simplify the language in this Disclosure Document, the words "we," "our," "us," and "Beyond Juicery + Eatery" refer to Beyond Juicery + Eatery Franchising, LLC, the franchisor of this business. "You" and "your" refer to the person who buys the franchise, whether you are a corporation, limited liability company, or other business entity. If you are a corporation, limited liability company, or other business entity, certain provisions of this disclosure also apply to your owners and will be noted.
The Franchisor, Parent, and Affiliates
We are a Michigan limited liability company organized on February 25, 2017. As of the Issuance Date of this disclosure document, our principal place of business is 876 Horace Brown Drive, Suite 100, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071. We do business under the name "Beyond Juicery + Eatery." We have no predecessor or parent and have not offered franchises in other lines of businesses.
We have the following affiliates. Our affiliate, Beyond Juicery Eatery Commissary, LLC ("Commissary") provides products and services to our franchises through the operation of a commissary, which produces certain food itemsthat you are required to purchase. Our affiliate, Beyond Juicery Eatery IP, LLC owns the Trademarks used in connection with your Restaurant and has licensed us the right to sublicense the Trademarks to you. Our affiliate, Nostimo Brands, LLC ("Nostimo") has independently contracted with us to provide certain business, supervisory, and administrative services. Our affiliate, Beyond Juicery Eatery Food Trailer, LLC ("Beyond Food Trailer") owns and maintains a mobile food trailer that is made available to our franchisees for rent upon request and at our discretion. Our affiliate, BJE Gift Card Holdings, LLC ("BJE Gift Cards") provides certain services to our franchise system related to gift cards. We also have affiliates that operate Restaurants similar to the Restaurant being offered, including the following:
- Beyond Juicery Eatery Maple Road, LLC owns and operates a Beyond Juicery + Eatery Restaurant in Birmingham, Michigan located at 270 W. Maple Road, Birmingham, Michigan 48009.
- Alanis Juice Company, LLC owns and operates a Beyond Juicery + Eatery Restaurant that is located at the Somerset Mall in Troy, Michigan.
- BJE Cole Street 2, LLC owns and operates a Beyond Juicery + Eatery Restaurant in Birmingham, Michigan located at 2221 Cole Street, Birmingham, Michigan 48009.
None of our affiliates offer franchises. However, we may utilize one or more of the affiliate businesses to test our System and System improvements. Our affiliates' principal place of business is 876 Horace Brown Drive, Suite 100, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
