Who pays for the training of a replacement Control Person for a Beyond Juicery Eatery franchise?

- 3.02 You hereby designate the person identified in Attachment 1 of this Franchise Agreement as the Control Person.
The Control Person shall be the person with whom we will communicate and upon whom we will rely on to bind the Franchisee.
You authorize the Control Person to perform any and all actions on your behalf related to this Agreement.
Any replacement of the Control Person shall be appointed by you within ten (10) days of the prior Control Person's resignation, termination, or death.
If we conduct any training for the replacement Control Person, you shall pay to us all costs and expenses related to such training at the then-current rates for additional training, as well as expenses related to travel to attend the training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs associated with training a replacement Control Person. Specifically, if Beyond Juicery Eatery conducts any training for the replacement Control Person, the franchisee must pay Beyond Juicery Eatery all costs and expenses related to the training. These costs are calculated at the then-current rates for additional training.
In addition to the training fees, the franchisee is also responsible for all expenses related to the replacement Control Person's attendance at the training. This includes, but is not limited to, expenses such as wages, meals, lodging, and travel. This means the franchisee needs to budget not only for the direct training costs charged by Beyond Juicery Eatery but also for the indirect costs of having the replacement Control Person attend the training.
The Control Person is designated in Attachment 1 of the Franchise Agreement and is the individual with whom Beyond Juicery Eatery will communicate and rely upon to bind the franchisee. Any replacement of the Control Person must be appointed by the franchisee within ten days of the previous Control Person's resignation, termination, or death, making it essential to have a plan for training their replacement.
