What operating system is required for the desktop computer at a Beyond Juicery Eatery restaurant?

we designate the change or enhancement to the POS you may be required to make certain payments to us or our Designated Suppliers. You must obtain and use in your Restaurant, a computer system ("Computer System") to host the required POS and required software and applications. The POS and Computer System will generate reports on sales and expenses of the Restaurant. You will be solely responsible for the acquisition, operation, maintenance, and upgrading of the Computer System. Neither we nor any affiliate or third party is obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, or updates for your Computer System. We currently do not require that you purchase a maintenance, repair, update service contract for the Computer System, but we reserve the right to do so in the future. We estimate the current annual cost of a service contract is approximately $1,500. Our currently-required technology to be employed in the Restaurant consists of:
- Up to 2 POS terminals (terminal, printer, cash register);
- Up to 2 Kiosks (terminal, stand);
- Up to 5 kitchen display screens;
- Up to 3 kitchen printers;
- 1 expediter printer;
- 1 desktop (with monitor) with capabilities of running Windows 10, 1 Ghz or better processor, 1 GB RAM or greater, 2 USB ports, NIC 10/100/1000 or WiFi to connect to Router;
- Laser or InkJet Printer/Scanner

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beyond Juicery Eatery FDD, the desktop computer used at the restaurant must be capable of running Windows 10. The computer needs to have a 1 GHz or better processor, a minimum of 1 GB RAM, at least two USB ports, and a NIC 10/100/1000 or WiFi to connect to a router.
Beyond Juicery Eatery franchisees are responsible for acquiring, operating, maintaining, and upgrading their computer systems. Neither Beyond Juicery Eatery nor any affiliate or third party is obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, or updates for the computer system. While a service contract is not currently required, Beyond Juicery Eatery reserves the right to mandate one in the future. The estimated annual cost for such a service contract is approximately $1,500.
Beyond Juicery Eatery may also require franchisees to update their computer systems or implement a system-wide POS (Point of Sale) system at any time, without any contractual limitations on the frequency and cost. Franchisees are not entitled to reimbursement for these costs. The technology configuration is subject to change due to advancements, as updated in the Operations Manuals.
