What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beyond Juicery Eatery can require franchisees to upgrade their restaurants to meet the system's current standards and specifications. These upgrades, which include renovations and modernizations to the restaurant's building, premises, signs, and equipment, are intended to align the restaurant with the current image of Beyond Juicery + Eatery restaurants.
Beyond Juicery Eatery can request these renovations, but not more than once every five years. The FDD stipulates that the cost of each renovation and modernization cannot exceed $100,000. These renovations are to ensure that the restaurant conforms to the building design, trade dress, color scheme, and presentation of Beyond Juicery + Eatery's trademarks.
The franchisee is responsible for the expenses associated with these renovations, repairs, and alterations. If a franchisee fails to complete the required renovations within 30 days of receiving written notice from Beyond Juicery Eatery, Beyond Juicery Eatery has the right to complete the renovations themselves. In such cases, the franchisee must reimburse Beyond Juicery Eatery for all costs incurred.
