What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee's designated area is defined in Attachment 1 to the Franchise Agreement. This area is specified by borders or depicted in an attached map. However, the designated area excludes enclosed malls, institutions like hospitals or schools, airports, parks (including theme parks), casinos, military bases, and sports arenas, even if these are located within the defined borders. Beyond Juicery Eatery retains the right to operate or franchise others to operate restaurants in these excluded locations, regardless of their proximity to the franchisee's location.

This means that while a franchisee is granted a specific geographic area, this exclusivity has limitations. The franchisor can still establish or authorize other Beyond Juicery Eatery locations within certain types of venues inside the franchisee's designated area. This could lead to increased competition within what might otherwise be considered the franchisee's exclusive territory.

Furthermore, the franchisee's rights within their designated area do not extend to the use of trademarks or third-party delivery services, meaning Beyond Juicery Eatery can authorize other entities to use their trademarks or provide delivery services within the franchisee's area. A prospective franchisee should carefully review Attachment 1 to fully understand the specific boundaries and exclusions of their designated area and how these exclusions might impact their business.
