What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beyond Juicery Eatery's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for maintaining their restaurants. The franchisee must repair and maintain both the interior and exterior of the restaurant, including fixtures, furnishings, signs, equipment, sidewalks, walkways, and parking lots, ensuring they are in good order and compliant with Beyond Juicery Eatery's standards and applicable laws.

Beyond Juicery Eatery can require franchisees to upgrade their restaurants to meet current system standards, but not more than once every five years. The cost of each renovation and modernization cannot exceed $100,000. Franchisees are responsible for these renovations, repairs, and alterations at their own expense, as directed by Beyond Juicery Eatery. If a franchisee fails to make required renovations within 30 days of written notice, Beyond Juicery Eatery can complete the repairs and charge the franchisee for all costs incurred.

This means a prospective Beyond Juicery Eatery franchisee needs to be prepared for ongoing maintenance expenses to keep the restaurant in good condition and up to date. They should also be aware of the potential for periodic, mandated upgrades that could cost up to $100,000. Failure to comply with maintenance and upgrade requirements could result in Beyond Juicery Eatery stepping in to perform the work and billing the franchisee.
