What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a transfer fee when transferring their franchise. The amount of the transfer fee depends on whether the transferee is an existing Beverly Ann's Cookie Truck franchisee. If the transferee is an existing franchisee, the transfer fee is $7,500. If the transferee is not a current franchisee, the transfer fee is $10,000, plus $1,000 for each piece of Additional Equipment being transferred.
The transfer fee is paid in two parts. First, a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is due at the time of the transfer application request. The remaining balance is due at or before the completion of the approved transfer.
In addition to the transfer fee, if the transferee is a lead provided by Beverly Ann's Cookie or was referred to the franchisee by Beverly Ann's Cookie, the franchisee must pay Beverly Ann's Cookie an additional $15,000. Franchisees should be aware of these fees when considering a transfer and factor them into their financial planning.
