What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beverly Anns Cookie Franchise Disclosure Document, the Transfer Fee varies depending on who the franchise is being transferred to. If a franchisee transfers their Beverly Anns Cookie business to an existing franchisee, the transfer fee is $7,500. However, if the transfer is to someone other than an existing franchisee, the transfer fee is $10,000.
In addition to the base transfer fee, the franchisee must also pay $1,000 for each piece of Additional Equipment being transferred. This fee covers the transfer of the Beverly Anns Cookie business, GRM/GRT (presumably a mobile retail unit), ownership of the legal entity, or the Franchise Agreement itself.
Notably, a $1,000 nonrefundable deposit is required when submitting the transfer application. The remaining balance of the transfer fee is due upon approval of the transfer. If the transfer is to an entity controlled by the franchisee, their family, or involves adding minority equity owners, the transfer fee is waived. However, the franchisee is still responsible for covering Beverly Anns Cookie's actual costs, including legal fees, associated with the transfer. Franchisees are also required to pay off any loans on the Additional Equipment prior to the transfer.
