Training
Initial Training
Your Managing Owner (defined in Item 15) and any designated manager or representative that we require must complete the training program to our reasonable satisfaction before you open your Beverly Ann's Business. You will be enrolled in the initial training program which we call "Beverly Ann's Culinary Class." We provide initial training at no cost for one attendee. We will pay for hotel and airfare for one attendee for our initial training program in Florence, Kentucky; however, you are responsible for all other expenses to attend the initial training program, including any ground transportation, food and similar expenses. Franchisees that purchase existing Beverly Ann's Cookie Franchises as a result of a transfer are also required to attend Beverly Ann's Culinary Class and are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses. Initial training classes are held whenever necessary to train new franchisees. You will not receive any compensation or reimbursement for services or expenses for participation in the initial training program. You are responsible for all expenses for any additional attendees to attend any training program,
including lodging, transportation, food, and similar expenses. We plan to provide the training listed in the table below. The hours presented for each subject are estimates and may change as our training program continues to evolve.

According to the 2025 Beverly Anns Cookie Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally responsible for the costs and expenses associated with training. For the initial training program, "Beverly Ann's Culinary Class," Beverly Anns Cookie covers the hotel and airfare for one attendee in Florence, Kentucky. However, the franchisee is responsible for all other expenses for that attendee, such as ground transportation, food, and similar costs. Franchisees who purchase existing Beverly Anns Cookie franchises via a transfer must also attend Beverly Ann's Culinary Class and are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses. Regarding ongoing training, the franchisee is responsible for the costs and expenses for all training attendees. Beverly Anns Cookie may charge a fee for providing this training and may also require the franchisee to reimburse them for associated costs and expenses. This includes refresher courses, additional training, and remedial training that Beverly Anns Cookie may require due to non-compliance with the Franchise Agreement or System Standards.
