Before opening a Beverly Anns Cookie business, what must happen regarding the Protected Territory?

Before you open the Beverly Ann's Business, we (or our affiliate or designees) will provide the following assistance and services to you:
- Agree to the Protected Territory in which you will operate your Beverly Ann's Business before you purchase the Beverly Ann's Franchise. If we cannot agree on a territory location, we will not award you a Beverly Ann's Franchise. Because you do not have to locate a site from which to operate your Beverly Ann's Business, we do not provide you with assistance in doing so. You may open an office, but it is not required and does not need to be approved by us. You must find a location to store the GRM/GRT and any Additional Equipment, which may be at your residence if permitted (Franchise Agreement – Section 4).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before a franchisee can open their Beverly Ann's Business, they must agree with MCC (presumably, the franchisor) on the Protected Territory in which they will operate. If Beverly Anns Cookie and the franchisee cannot agree on a territory location, Beverly Anns Cookie will not award the franchise.
Unlike many brick-and-mortar franchises, Beverly Anns Cookie franchisees do not have to locate a specific site from which to operate their business. Franchisees may open an office, but it is not required and does not need to be approved by Beverly Anns Cookie. However, franchisees must find a location to store the GRM/GRT (presumably, a vehicle or trailer used for the business) and any Additional Equipment, which may be at the franchisee's residence if permitted by the Franchise Agreement.
