What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee looking to transfer their franchise must pay a transfer fee. The amount of this fee depends on whether the transferee is already a Beverly Ann's Cookie franchisee. If the transferee is an existing franchisee, the transfer fee is $7,500. However, if the transferee is not a current franchisee, the fee is $10,000, plus an additional $1,000 for each piece of Additional Equipment transferred.
The transfer fee is paid in two installments. First, the franchisee must submit a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 at the time of the transfer application request. The remaining balance of the transfer fee is then due at or before the completion of the approved transfer.
Furthermore, if the transferee was a lead provided by Beverly Ann's Cookie or was referred to the franchisee by Beverly Ann's Cookie, the franchisee must pay Beverly Ann's Cookie an additional $15,000 in addition to the transfer fee. Franchisees should be aware of all these potential costs when considering a transfer.
