What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Beverly Anns Cookie Franchise Disclosure Document, the instructional materials for the training program consist of the GRM/GRT (presumably a food preparation or service vehicle or trailer) and its equipment, manufacturer brochures and operational manuals, and the Brand Manual.
The initial training program, referred to as "Beverly Ann's Culinary Class," is mandatory for the Managing Owner and any designated manager or representative. Beverly Anns Cookie provides this initial training at no cost for one attendee, covering hotel and airfare expenses for the training held in Florence, Kentucky. However, the franchisee is responsible for all other expenses, such as ground transportation and food. Franchisees who purchase existing Beverly Anns Cookie franchises through a transfer are also required to attend this training but must cover their own travel and hotel expenses.
Beverly Anns Cookie may also require franchisees, designated managers, and other employees to periodically attend system-wide refresher or additional training courses, some of which may be optional or required. If a new designated manager is appointed, they must complete the initial training program. Additionally, if an inspection reveals non-compliance with the Franchise Agreement or System Standards, Beverly Anns Cookie may require the franchisee to attend remedial training. Franchisees are responsible for all costs and expenses associated with these training programs.
