Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We will notify you of new or modified specifications, standards, and guidelines through periodic amendments or supplements to the Brand Manual or through written communication (including electronic communication). We will issue copies of our standards and specifications to you unless these standards and specifications contain our confidential information. We may require you to remodel and modernize the GRM/GRT, at your sole expense, so that the GRM/GRT reflects our then-current System Standards as to image and quality.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will be notified of new or modified specifications, standards, and guidelines through periodic updates to the Brand Manual or via written or electronic communication. Beverly Anns Cookie will provide franchisees with copies of their standards and specifications, unless the standards and specifications contain confidential information.

Beverly Anns Cookie maintains System Standards to ensure quality and service. These standards are detailed in the Brand Manual, which may include written, audio, video, electronic media, website content, and software components. The System Standards cover various aspects of the business, including types of supplies, equipment, furnishings, signs, services, products, inventory, and approved suppliers. Franchisees must adhere to these standards and specifications, and any deviation requires prior written consent from Beverly Anns Cookie.

Beverly Anns Cookie may require franchisees to remodel and modernize their GRM/GRT (presumably a store or mobile unit), at the franchisee's expense, to reflect the current System Standards for image and quality. These updates are required every seven years, upon the execution of a successor franchise agreement, for the transfer of a Beverly Ann's Business, or if the GRM/GRT does not comply with current standards. Franchisees must use approved suppliers for window tinting, wrapping, and upfitting of the GRM/GRT and may be required to purchase a new GRM/GRT depending on its age and condition, but no later than 28 years after its manufacture.

Beverly Anns Cookie may update the list of approved suppliers in the Brand Manual. If a franchisee wants to use a non-approved supplier, they must submit samples and a written statement to Beverly Anns Cookie for approval. Beverly Anns Cookie may charge for the evaluation of a new vendor, supplier, or product. While Beverly Anns Cookie aims to respond to requests within 60 days, they generally respond within seven days. Written approval is required before using products from non-approved suppliers, and Beverly Anns Cookie can revoke approval if a supplier no longer meets their standards.
