What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the term 'improvements' is referenced within the context of potential requirements for franchisees seeking a Successor Franchise Agreement. Specifically, if Beverly Anns Cookie elects not to grant a Successor Franchise Agreement, they will provide notice describing any required remodeling, expansion, improvements, and/or modifications necessary to bring the franchisee's GR Vehicle (Grandma's Recipe Motor Vehicle or Grandma's Recipe Trailer) and any Additional Equipment into compliance with current brand standards.

This means that as a condition of renewing their franchise agreement, a Beverly Anns Cookie franchisee may be required to undertake certain upgrades or changes to their mobile truck or trailer. These improvements are aimed at ensuring that all franchised businesses maintain a consistent brand image and meet the franchisor's standards for appearance and functionality. The notice from Beverly Anns Cookie will detail the specific actions a franchisee must take to correct any deficiencies and the timeframe for completing these corrections.

For a prospective franchisee, this highlights the importance of maintaining their GR Vehicle and any Additional Equipment to the standards set by Beverly Anns Cookie. Failure to do so could result in being required to make significant investments to bring the business up to standard as a condition of franchise renewal. This also underscores the need to understand the terms of the Franchise Agreement regarding required updates and remodels to avoid potential issues when seeking a Successor Franchise Agreement.
