What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the Brand Manual is posted on a restricted website or extranet, franchisees must monitor and access the website or extranet for any updates to the Brand Manual or System standards. Franchisees are responsible for keeping up-to-date with any changes. Any passwords or digital identifications needed to access the Brand Manual are considered Confidential Information.

This means that Beverly Anns Cookie franchisees must regularly check the online portal for updates to operational procedures, standards, and other important information. Failing to do so could result in non-compliance with the franchise agreement. Franchisees must also protect the confidentiality of any login credentials provided to access the Brand Manual.

This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors often use online portals to distribute information and updates to franchisees. It is the franchisee's responsibility to stay informed and adhere to the latest guidelines to maintain brand consistency and operational standards. Beverly Anns Cookie franchisees should factor in the time required to regularly check the online portal as part of their operational responsibilities.
