Is a Beverly Anns Cookie franchisee required to use the GRM and GRT only for operating the Beverly Anns Cookie business?

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must use the GRM and GRT only for the operation of the Beverly Ann's Business and only to sell the products that we authorize. We may allow certain franchisees to operate an additional Beverly Ann's Business operated at a fixed location within their territory ("Fixed Location Business"). Franchisees will sign the then-current Fixed Location Amendment, a sample is attached to this Franchise Disclosure Document in Exhibit H.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beverly Anns Cookie Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly restricted in how they can use the GRM and GRT mobile units. The GRM (presumably, 'Beverly Ann's Cookie's' mobile unit) and GRT (presumably, 'Beverly Ann's Cookie's' trailer unit) must be used exclusively for operating the Beverly Anns Cookie business.

This means a franchisee cannot use these mobile units for any other business venture or personal use. The franchisee is further restricted to selling only products authorized by Beverly Anns Cookie from these units. This control ensures brand consistency and prevents franchisees from diluting the Beverly Anns Cookie brand by offering non-approved products or services.

Beverly Anns Cookie does retain the right to allow franchisees to operate a Fixed Location Business within their territory, which would be governed by a separate Fixed Location Amendment. However, the restriction on the use of the GRM and GRT applies specifically to the mobile business operations. This requirement is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors typically want to maintain strict control over how their brand and resources are utilized to protect brand integrity and customer experience.
