What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 FDD, Beverly Anns Cookie franchisees are required to participate in promotional campaigns, but they are restricted in creating their own gift cards or coupons. Specifically, franchisees must conduct and participate in promotional campaigns as required by Beverly Anns Cookie, following their policies and procedures. These promotions may include offering free products or coupons to customers.

However, the franchisee's ability to offer their own promotions is limited. The FDD states that franchisees will not create or issue any gift cards/certificates and will only sell gift cards/certificates that have been issued or sponsored by Beverly Anns Cookie and which are accepted at all franchised businesses. Additionally, franchisees cannot issue coupons or discounts of any type unless approved by Beverly Anns Cookie.

This means that while franchisees must participate in corporate-led promotional activities, they have limited autonomy in creating their own promotions or loyalty programs. A prospective franchisee should clarify with Beverly Anns Cookie the extent of participation required in promotional programs, the degree of flexibility they have in offering local promotions, and the specifics of any approved gift card or loyalty programs.
