Is a Beverly Anns Cookie franchisee required to open an office?

Beverly_Anns_Cookie Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Because you do not have to locate a site from which to operate your Beverly Ann's Business, we do not provide you with assistance in doing so. You may open an office, but it is not required and does not need to be approved by us. You must find a location to store the GRM/GRT and any Additional Equipment, which may be at your residence if permitted (Franchise Agreement – Section 4).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Beverly Anns Cookie Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not required to open an office to operate their business. However, while not mandatory, the FDD states that franchisees may choose to open an office if they wish.

Beverly Anns Cookie franchisees must find a location to store the GRM/GRT (presumably a Gourmet Cookie Mobile/Gourmet Cookie Trailer) and any Additional Equipment. This storage location can be the franchisee's residence, provided that such storage is permitted.

This flexibility regarding office space could reduce initial overhead costs for franchisees, as they are not obligated to lease or purchase a separate office location. However, franchisees should consider the implications of storing business-related equipment at their residence and ensure compliance with any local regulations.
