Beverly_Anns_Cookie Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must obtain services and products from: (1) designated suppliers, (2) approved suppliers, and/or (3) according to our specifications. We will issue you a list of the designated and approved suppliers. If you want to use or sell a product or service that we have not yet evaluated or if you want to purchase or lease a product or service from a supplier or provider that we have not yet approved (for services and products that require supplier approval), you must follow the policies and procedures contained in our Brand Manual. Our approval generally will be based on the supplier's ability to consistently make the manufactured product to our standards, requirements, and/or specifications; the supplier's willingness to protect our confidential information; production, delivery, and service capability to meet supply and service commitments; and other criteria detailed in the Brand Manual. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you within 60 days after receiving all requested information and materials whether you are authorized to purchase or lease the product or service from that supplier or provider. Costs associated with gaining approval may be your responsibility and/or the supplier's where existing suppliers are capable of providing an existing product. We may periodically re-inspect approved suppliers' facilities and products, and we reserve the right to revoke our approval of any supplier, provider, product or service that does not

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the approval of new suppliers is based on several factors to ensure quality and consistency. If a franchisee wants to use a non-approved supplier, they must submit samples of the supplier's products or services along with a written statement explaining why the supplier should be approved. Beverly Anns Cookie may charge the franchisee or the supplier for the cost of evaluating the proposed new vendor, supplier, or product.

Beverly Anns Cookie's approval of a new supplier generally hinges on the supplier's ability to consistently meet the brand's standards, requirements, and specifications for the manufactured product. The supplier must also demonstrate a willingness to protect Beverly Anns Cookie's confidential information. Furthermore, the supplier needs to have the production, delivery, and service capabilities necessary to fulfill supply and service commitments. These criteria are detailed further in the Brand Manual, which franchisees are expected to follow.

Beverly Anns Cookie aims to notify franchisees within 60 days of receiving all the necessary information regarding the authorization to purchase or lease products or services from the proposed supplier. However, the FDD also states that Beverly Anns Cookie generally responds to a request for an additional approved supplier within seven days. The costs associated with gaining approval may be the responsibility of the franchisee or the supplier. Beverly Anns Cookie retains the right to re-inspect approved suppliers' facilities and products periodically and can revoke approval if a supplier, product, or service no longer meets their specifications.

Prospective franchisees should note that Beverly Anns Cookie does not make its supplier specifications and/or standards generally available to franchisees or suppliers. Franchisees must receive written approval before using products from a non-approved supplier. This system ensures that all products and services used in the Beverly Anns Cookie franchise meet the franchisor's standards, maintaining brand consistency and quality. Additionally, franchisees must stop selling any products or purchasing from any supplier if Beverly Anns Cookie revokes its approval of that specific product or supplier.
