You are required to complete our initial training program at the times and places we designate ("Initial Training"). The Managing Owner and, if applicable, Designated Manager must attend and complete Initial Training to our satisfaction prior to the Franchised Business opening for business ("Initial Training Deadline"). If you have purchased an existing franchised business pursuant to this Franchise Agreement, the Initial Training Deadline will be the Effective Date.
We will provide Initial Training at no cost for one attendee. Additional persons may attend Initial Training and will pay our then-current training fees. We will pay for hotel and airfare for one attendee to attend the Initial Training , unless the Franchised Business is being acquired as the result of a transfer. You are responsible for all other costs of attendance, including any and all travel and/or living expenses which you or any other attendees incur. We reserve the right to charge a fee for providing training and may require you to reimburse us for our associated costs and expenses. Any new Managing Owner or Designated Manager must also complete the training required for all new managers before assuming responsibility for the management of your Franchised Business. If any of your attendees are unable to complete Initial Training to our satisfaction, we may terminate this Franchise Agreement without refunding your Initial Franchise Fee. If you own multiple Franchised Businesses, we will provide the Initial Training only for the first Franchised Business that you open.

According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor covers the cost of initial training for one attendee. Specifically, Beverly Anns Cookie will provide initial training at no cost for one attendee, and will also pay for hotel and airfare for that one attendee, unless the franchise is acquired through a transfer. This attendee is typically the Managing Owner or Designated Manager.
Additional attendees may participate in the initial training program, but the franchisee is responsible for paying Beverly Ann's Cookie's then-current training fees for each additional person. Furthermore, all other costs of attendance, including travel and living expenses for the franchisee and any other attendees, are the responsibility of the franchisee.
It is important to note that if any attendee fails to complete the initial training program to Beverly Ann's Cookie's satisfaction, the franchise agreement may be terminated, and the initial franchise fee will not be refunded. If a franchisee owns multiple Beverly Ann's Cookie businesses, the franchisor will only provide initial training for the first franchise location opened.
