Can Beverly Anns Cookie charge a fee for providing training beyond the initial training?

We may offer periodic refresher training courses or develop additional training courses. Attendance at these training programs may be optional or mandatory. You may be required to pay our then-current fee for this training as specified in our Brand Manual.
Requested Training
Upon your written request, we may provide additional assistance or training to you at a mutually convenient time. You may be required to pay the then-current fee for this training as specified in our Brand Manual.
Remedial Training
If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you are not operating your Franchised Business in compliance with this Franchise Agreement and/or the Brand Manual, we may require that you, your employees and other designees attend remedial training relevant to your operational deficiencies. You must pay us the then-current training fee as specified in our Brand Manual.
Conventions
We may hold periodic national or regional conferences to discuss various business issues and operational and general business concerns affecting Beverly Ann's Cookie Truck franchisees. Attendance at these conferences may be mandatory or optional. We also reserve the right to restrict franchisees from attending based on past performance, previous defaults and other factors in our sole discretion. You are responsible for paying our then-current conference fee for any conferences that attend.
Training Expenses
You are solely responsible for all expenses and costs that your trainees incur for all trainings and conferences under this Section, including wages, travel, lodging, food and living expenses. You also agree to reimburse us for all expenses and costs we incur to travel to your Franchised Business under this Section, including travel, food, lodging and living expenses.

According to Beverly Anns Cookie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Beverly Anns Cookie may charge franchisees a fee for training beyond the initial training program. The franchisor may offer periodic refresher or additional training courses, which may be either optional or mandatory, and franchisees may be required to pay the then-current fee as specified in the Brand Manual.
Additionally, if Beverly Anns Cookie determines that a franchisee is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement or Brand Manual, they may require the franchisee, their employees, or designees to attend remedial training. The franchisee must pay the then-current training fee as specified in the Brand Manual for this remedial training.
Furthermore, if a franchisee requests additional assistance or training, Beverly Anns Cookie may provide it at a mutually convenient time, and the franchisee may be required to pay the then-current fee for this training as specified in the Brand Manual. Franchisees are also responsible for all expenses and costs their trainees incur for all trainings and conferences, including wages, travel, lodging, food, and living expenses. Franchisees also agree to reimburse Beverly Anns Cookie for all expenses and costs they incur to travel to the franchisee's business for training purposes, including travel, food, lodging, and living expenses.
