What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Bevaris Alliance's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company may establish minimum and maximum prices at which franchisees may sell products and provide services. These pricing restrictions are only permitted to the extent allowed by federal and state laws. Bevaris Alliance also requires franchisees to obtain permission to discount products.
This means that while Bevaris Alliance can set price ranges, these ranges must comply with all applicable laws. Franchisees need to be aware of these laws to ensure they are compliant with both the franchise agreement and legal requirements. It is important to note that franchisees cannot make any wholesale sales and are restricted from selling Bevaris Alliance products or services through other channels like internet sales or catalogs.
This policy is fairly standard in franchising, as franchisors often want to maintain brand consistency and control pricing to some extent. However, franchisees should be diligent in understanding the specific federal and state laws that govern pricing in their area to avoid any potential legal issues. It would be prudent for a prospective franchisee to consult with a legal expert to fully understand these restrictions and their implications.
