Under what conditions can the Franchisor grant permission to a Bevaris Alliance franchisee?

- be given subject to such conditions as the Franchisor shall consider necessary to protect the goodwill and reputation of the Branded Business;
- (b) if required by the Franchisor, participate in the Franchisor's website as stipulated by the Franchisor;
- (c) not participate in or register with any internet group, web site or similar medium which has as its aim (whether stated or not) or effect the denigration of the Branded Business or the Trade Name; and
- (d) not open an account or profile on a social networking site in relation to the Franchisee's Business or the Branded Business without the Franchisor's prior written consent which may be given subject to conditions which may include the grant to the Franchisor of administrator rights and the Franchisee will comply with the provisions of the Manual in respect of such social networking sites.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bevaris Alliance Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor can impose conditions when granting permission to a franchisee. Specifically, Bevaris Alliance may require franchisees to participate in the franchisor's website, as stipulated by the franchisor.
Additionally, Bevaris Alliance franchisees are prohibited from participating in or registering with any internet group, website, or similar medium that aims to denigrate the Branded Business or Trade Name. Furthermore, franchisees must obtain prior written consent from Bevaris Alliance before opening an account or profile on a social networking site related to the Franchisee's Business or the Branded Business.
This consent may be subject to conditions, including granting the franchisor administrator rights. Franchisees must also comply with the provisions of the Manual regarding such social networking sites. These stipulations allow Bevaris Alliance to maintain control over its brand's online presence and protect its reputation.
