What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bevaris Alliance Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will receive at least 60 days' notification regarding hardware specifications. Specifically, Bevaris Alliance franchisees must acquire, update, replace, and/or make use of any software and hardware that Bevaris Alliance requires for the franchisee's business. This must be done according to the instructions and timetable set by Bevaris Alliance. However, franchisees will receive no less than sixty days' notification of the hardware specifications.
This means that if Bevaris Alliance decides to change the required hardware for the franchise, they must give franchisees at least 60 days' notice before the new hardware is required. This allows franchisees time to budget for the new equipment, research options, and make the necessary purchases or leases. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in potential hardware upgrades and replacements into their financial planning.
This requirement ensures that Bevaris Alliance franchisees maintain consistent technology standards across all locations, which can be important for brand consistency and operational efficiency. However, it also means that franchisees must be prepared to invest in new hardware as required by Bevaris Alliance, even if their existing equipment is still functional. Franchisees should inquire about the typical lifespan of required hardware and the potential frequency and cost of upgrades to better understand these ongoing technology expenses.
