What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bevaris Alliance Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee for a second franchise is $12,500. This represents a 50% discount off the standard initial franchise fee of $25,000 for a single franchise.
This discount is a financial incentive for existing Bevaris Alliance franchisees to expand their operations by opening additional locations. It lowers the upfront investment required for the second franchise, potentially accelerating the franchisee's growth and market penetration. The FDD also states that if a franchisee acquires a third or more franchises, the initial fee for each of those additional franchises will also be $12,500.
It's important to note that the initial fee is generally charged when the Franchise Agreement is signed, although for franchisees in California, payment is postponed until after Bevaris Alliance's initial obligations are complete and the franchisee is open for business. The fee may be refundable at Bevaris Alliance's sole discretion, so prospective franchisees should clarify the conditions under which a refund might be possible.
Franchise fee discounts for multiple units are a fairly common practice in the franchise industry as a way to encourage growth and reward successful franchisees. However, prospective franchisees should carefully consider all costs and obligations before committing to multiple units, ensuring they have the resources and capabilities to manage multiple locations effectively.
