What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Bevaris Alliance's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees cannot use the Bevaris Alliance name or trademarks with modifying words, designs, or symbols unless Bevaris Alliance specifically licenses them to do so. This restriction ensures that the brand's image and trademarks are used consistently and according to the franchisor's standards. Unauthorized use of the Bevaris Alliance name or trademarks in connection with the sale of unauthorized products or services, or in any manner not explicitly authorized in writing by Bevaris Alliance, is prohibited.

This requirement is typical in franchising, as franchisors need to maintain control over their brand to ensure uniformity and quality across all franchise locations. By requiring a license for specific uses of the Bevaris Alliance name and trademarks, the franchisor can prevent franchisees from creating potentially damaging or inconsistent brand representations.

Prospective franchisees should carefully review the terms and conditions related to trademark usage in the franchise agreement. Understanding the specific guidelines and restrictions on using the Bevaris Alliance name and trademarks is crucial for avoiding potential legal issues and maintaining a positive relationship with the franchisor. Franchisees should also seek clarification from Bevaris Alliance regarding any specific design or symbol usage they may have in mind to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
