What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bevaris Alliance Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination of the franchise agreement, a franchisee must immediately discontinue the use of the Communication Addresses. These Communication Addresses refer to telephone numbers, email addresses, and domain names specified or approved by Bevaris Alliance for use in the franchisee's business.
In addition to discontinuing their use, the franchisee is required to assist Bevaris Alliance in making any necessary changes to contractual arrangements with service providers or registrations with regulatory authorities. This assistance includes, at Bevaris Alliance's discretion, terminating the arrangements or transferring the right to use the Communication Addresses to Bevaris Alliance.
This provision ensures that upon termination, the franchisee relinquishes all rights and access to the communication channels associated with the Bevaris Alliance brand, allowing the franchisor to maintain control over its brand identity and customer communications. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising to protect the brand and ensure a smooth transition after a franchise agreement ends.
