What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Bevaris Alliance Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from participating in or registering with any online platform that aims to denigrate the Branded Business or the Trade Name. The Trade Name is defined in the agreement as Bevaris Alliance. This restriction is in place to protect the goodwill and reputation of the Bevaris Alliance brand.
This means a prospective Bevaris Alliance franchisee should understand that they cannot engage in any activity online that could be seen as detrimental to the brand's image. This includes registering with or participating in websites or online groups that criticize or disparage Bevaris Alliance.
This restriction is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need to protect their brand's reputation. Franchisees who violate this provision could face consequences outlined in their franchise agreement, such as penalties or even termination of the agreement. Bevaris Alliance franchisees must also get prior written consent from the franchisor before opening an account or profile on a social networking site related to the Franchisee's Business or the Branded Business.
